In My Mailbox & weekly roundup

Hello! Welcome to another sunny Sunday! (Well, sunny in Edinburgh, anyway *g*)

As I've said, last week was my birthday (have you entered the giveaway yet?) and one of my friends got me this book:

I've never heard of this book before, but it sounds pretty cool! You can see the description on Goodreads here. And I'm pretty sure the author is from the UK, so it's another book that can count towards Kirsty's British Book Challenge.

That's all for my mailbox this week, but I think that's a good thing, because I didn't really get much reading done this week, and I have several books that I'm excited to read, but just don't have time at the moment because of uni work.

Quick round up of the week:
Sera posted a link to a giveaway on her blog - click here for details & to enter.
I reviewed 'A Kiss In The Wind' by Jennifer Bray-Weber

That's it from us this week, but hopefully I'll get caught up some more on work today, so next week will have more posts & reviews!

What did you get in your post/mailboxes this week? Let me know in the comments!

  2. Hi there Alisa, belated happy birthday! You're a March baby too, goodie! My birthday was last week as well. This book captured my eye - the cover looks gorgeous and mysterious. You have to drop me a line to let me know whether you enjoyed it and have posted your review. :)

  3. I actually prefer getting books I don't know about as presents - it makes more exciting. Especially if the giver's read the book and loved it! Looks interesting - will wait to see what you think! :)

Myra - Thanks for the birthday wishes! And I will definitely let you know when I review this book :)

Mel - yep, I trust this particular friend to find books I'll like, we both read a lot & know each other's taste in books.

Alison - thanks, I hope so too!

Bibliosaurus - I know, the cover looks great! I had a hard time getting the camera not to reflect when I was taking the photo.

    Hellen - Thanks :)

Jennifer - I'll hopefully get to reading it soon, and I'll put up a review to let people know how it was :)

Lucia - I love the clouds too! And so many people comment on them, lol, I think they're great.

Jamie - thanks, and thanks for visiting the blog!

Sagacity Quest - I need to look through the bookshop sometime and find books that don't turn up on blogs - I've been missing them recently. So I miss out on things like this!

Valia - thanks for visiting! And yep, it's good to have catch-up time.

    Shandy - I think so too :)

Giselle - yep, I'd never heard of it, but it looks good, I think it's the first one in a series.
